Baby Ellena

I wanted to give a warm congratulations to my good friend Melissa. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Ellena, on Tuesday September 19th, one week over due. I have not had the chance to visit them yet but I am anxious to do so. She sent me some pictures today and I couldn’t help posting one.

Location Test Shoot

Friday Don and I checked out the Art Museum and did a little test shoot with Alma. I was trying out a new lens and checking out the location for a wedding I was shooting the next day. I have actually never had a bridal party that asked to go to the Art Museum! *GASP* I guess I am the only one because on Saturday there were at least twelve bridal parties in front of the Art Museum! It was an awesome phenomenon. If you every have a Saturday evening free around 5:00-6:00 I highly suggest to check it out.

I got some really nice portraits of Don and Alma so I thought I would share.

Philadelphia Wedding Photographers

Last night a big group of Philadelphia Wedding Photographers got together to meet each other and network. This is a huge step in Photography for Philadelphia. It is so important to know each other and learn from each other. This industry changes so fast that it seems impossible to keep up sometimes. With the support of an amazing community of Photographers we can all continue grow in our business with the knowledge we gain from each other.
It was so great to meet so many people! Mark Kingsdorf from the Queen of Hearts wedding consultants told us a little about his business, how he helps his clients find the right photographer and how things are rapidly changing in our industry when it comes to finding the perfect photographer for you special day. It is always refreshing to hear a different point of view and consider new ideas to make your business run better.

I also got to see my fabulous friends and colleagues Andrea Cipriani-Mecci and Sofia Negron. These ladies are fantastic photographers.

The MF is 30.

The Mike Froio that is! My good friend Mike is 30 this week, and he had a big birthday bash on Saturday Night. Our colleague and friend Bruce was responsible for all the balloons that greeted Mike in the morning. Bruce has the best time picking on Mike and I think the balloons were fantastic. As the night went on they began to deflate and Mikes head got smaller and smaller.

Happy Birthday Mike! I won't make too much fun since I am not far behind you, but check out all that smoke I am surprised the cake didn't go up in flames!

Email Problems

Every once and a while I experience some email problems and they are happening again. I started noticing it over vacation and thought it was strange that I wasn't receiving nearly the amount of mail I am used to. What happens is my spam filter fills up and that makes my email quota fill up. The spam filter is only stored on the server so I typically forget about it until this happens.
So I am in the process of deleting over 3,000 spam emails. If you sent me a message that I have not responded to please don't think that I am ignoring you and if it was an important inquiry or question please send it again.

Have a great day!

Watch This

I have been super busy at work and I had to send my laptop out for repairs but I hope to get a slideshow up of my vacation very soon. In the mean time here is a little movie clip from Motors, Lights, Action at the Disney MGM Studios. This was an amazing show! The cars are all customized and run off a motorcycle engine. They had a live feed of video for us viewers and they took us through the steps of making a chase sequece in a movie. You have to go see this if you are at MGM.

Its great to be a kid for a week.

I had an amazing time at Disney World. If anyone is thinking of going to Disney World in the future I highly suggest going this time of year, after labor day. It is considered off season and I could never go at any other time again. There were no lines for the rides. The longest we waited was 20 minutes and anyone who has ever been to a theme park knows that is nothing! The wait time for space mountain was 5 minutes, you can't beat that. We went on all the best rides twice, space mountain, tower of terror, rockin rollercoaster and more. We spend friday at Universal and the crowds were just like Disney, we rode the hulk three times!

It was a fantastic trip.
